What is the difference between a true Y and a 45° lateral?
A true Y splits into two branches at the same angle; a lateral has a straight run with one branch at 45°. On our drawing A runs from the center to the end of each leg: a 2" true Y measures A 4.000". See our sanitary weld 45 degree laterals.
What is the wall thickness?
Our data sheet gives a nominal wall (the wall column in the chart) of 0.065" from 1" to 3", 0.083" at 4" and 0.109" at 6".
