Stainless steel raised face weld neck flanges are welded to the pipe at the end of a tapered hub. The raised face is engineered to concentrate more pressure to a smaller area on the flange, which provides an increased containment capability at higher pressures. The weld neck flange is also engineered to match the inside diameter (ID) of the joining pipe. A 4" Class 150 raised face weld neck flange is 9.00" OD, 0.94" thick and 3.00" long through the hub (both including the 1/16" raised face), with eight 5/8" bolts on a 7.50" bolt circle in 0.75" holes. It weighs about 16.5 lb.
What bore do your weld neck flanges have?
The bore B1 in our charts is the standard bore, which matches the inside diameter of standard weight pipe: 4.03" for a 4" flange. Weld neck flanges are made to match the inside diameter of the pipe they are welded to, so ask us about other bores.
