Stainless steel raised face threaded flanges screw onto threaded pipe. One of the main advantages of using a threaded flange is that it can be installed and removed without welding. What are the dimensions of a 2" Class 150 threaded flange?
A 2" Class 150 raised face threaded flange is 6.00" OD, 0.75" thick and 1.00" long through the hub (both including the 1/16" raised face), with a minimum thread length of 1.00" and four 5/8" bolts on a 4.75" bolt circle. It weighs about 5.25 lb.
Do threaded flanges have a counterbore?
Class 150 threaded flanges need no counterbore. Class 300 threaded flanges have one; the chart lists its minimum diameter C, for example 2.50" on a 2" flange.
Are threaded flanges used on thin-wall pipe?
Threaded flanges aren't used with pipes with a thin wall thickness, because of the threads needed to connect them.
