Stainless steel raised face slip on flanges slip over the end of the pipe. The raised face is engineered to concentrate more pressure to a smaller area on the flange, which provides an increased containment capability at higher pressures. A 4" Class 150 raised face slip-on flange is 9.00" OD, 0.94" thick and 1.31" long through the hub (both including the 1/16" raised face), with eight 5/8" bolts on a 7.50" bolt circle in 0.75" holes. It weighs about 12.5 lb.
What is the bore of a slip-on flange?
The bore B2 is a minimum, a little larger than the outside diameter of the pipe so the flange slips over it: 4.57" for a 4" flange, which fits 4" pipe (4.500" OD).
