Stainless steel raised face threaded flanges, are used to block the end of a pipe system or valve. One of the main advantages of using a threaded flange is that it can be installed and removed without welding. Threaded flanges aren't used with pipes with a thin wall thickness because of the threads needed to connect the pieces.
