Additional Info
A butt weld pipe reducer enables there to be a change in pipe size to meet certain hydraulic flow requirements or sometimes it's just a matter of connecting two different pipe sizes. An eccentric butt welding reducer is a pipe fitting that is used when a pipe on the upstream side of the fitting is larger than the downstream side of the fitting. A concentric butt welding reducer works the same way, but resembles a cone and keeps fluid or gas more centered, whereas eccentric reducers have a parallel edge, which results in an offsetting center. Eccentric butt weld reducers are used if the same top or bottom level of the pipe is required.
